We have invested heavily in the department of imaging, a high priority service, recognizing, adopting and putting to work the worlds latest developemnts in Diagnostics Equipment & Techniques.

The Imaging department is managed by committed radiologists working 'round the clock' during emergency.

MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI)

An advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging system is the hospital's proud possession. The .3 tesla MRI armed with a powerful magnet and advanced software enables scanning of brain, spinal cork with a high degree of accuracy & clarity.

It gives exquisite details of the brain and spinal cord anatomy, never seen before, thus helping in making accurate diagnisis. Unlike most of the radiology equipment, this does not utilize ionizing radiation for providing high quality images of sensitive internal organs. This system also facilitates MR angiography of neck, brain & other vessels without injection of a dye.

Computerised Tomography Scan
(CT Scan)

National Hospital has acquired a state-of-the-art CT scanner with advanced software. This enables fast acquisition of images with a high degree of accuracy and without loss of any information due to respiratory movement.

Due to advanced technology procedure time is reduced drastically, This CT scanner also provides high resolution images on automatic processor with maximum speed and minimum radiation dose.

Colour Doppler

A dedicated peripheral vascular doppler machine is a real boon to department of imaging. Color Doppler is a useful and non invasive screening tool.

This state-of-the-art equipment armed with multiple probes can do carotid, peripheral vascular, renal, small parts and gynaecological doppler studies.
